From the Brauer Algebra to Categorification

Motivated by Nazarov's work on seminormal forms for the Brauer algebra over \(\mathbb C\), Ariki, Mathas and Rui introduced the cyclotomic Nazarov--Wenzl algebras. This subsequently led to a series of developments on cyclotomic and diagrammatic categories of Brauer and Kauffman type.
In this talk, I will survey a series of works on the affine Brauer category and the cyclotomic Brauer category, including recent progress on affine Brauer categorification. This is based on joint work with Mengmeng Gao and Linliang Song.

芮和兵，同济大学教授，博士生导师，国家杰出青年基金获得者，曾获教育部新世纪人才计划，教育部优秀青年教师资助计划，上海市优秀学科带头人资助计划，上海市自然科学一等奖。多年来一直从事表示论、李理论方面的研究，在Adv. Math., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc., Int. Math. Res. Not., J. Reine Angew. Math., Math. Z.等国际著名期刊发表高水平学术论文40余篇。
