On the instability of boundary layers
of shear flow type

In this talk, I will show the instability of boundary layers of shear flow type, for the Prandtl equations and Navier-Stokes equations respectively. Then, I will focus on the instability of 3D shear boundary layer for the Navier-Stokes system in the inviscid limit, induced by the Tollmien-Schlichting wave.
