Lecture 2: Riemann surfaces and the Riemann theta functions

Lecture 3: KP solitons 1 (Combinatorics of the totally nonnegative Grassmannians)

Lecture 4: KP solitons 2 (The τ-functions)

Lecture 5: Uniformization of the Riemann surfaces (the Schottky groups, Möbius transforms)

Lecture 6: Epilogue (discussions and future problems)





专家简介:

  Yuji Kodama was a professor of Mathematics at the Ohio State University in USA for 40 years, and he is now an emeritus professor of the university. He was also a professor of Shandong University of Science and Technology for 2022-2025. He obtained a PhD in Physics at Nagoya University (Japan) in 1978, and a PhD in Mathematics at Clarkson University (USA) in 1980. His main interest is in the field of the integrable systems. In particular, he is interested in connections with several areas of mathematics, including algebraic geometry and combinatorics, and nonlinear waves in physics (water waves, optics etc). Last 20 years, his main research activity focuses on combinatorial and geometric structure of solutions of the integrable systems, in particular, the KP equation. In the lectures, he plans to review his recent works with several elementary examples.
