ABSTRACT

In this talk, we use several probabilistic methods to consider the recurrence statistics for interval maps, and aiming to discuss more refined stochastic behaviors on the dynamics. The topics include hitting time dynamics, extreme value theory, logarithmn law, run length function theory and Possion laws. We will particularly compare these behaviors between the interval maps preserving probability measures and the ones preserving sigma finite invariant measures.
