Causal Inferences and Statistical Methods for Diagnostic Medicine and Analysis of Skewed Data

课程介绍：Three important areas in statistics are causal inference and statistical methods in diagnostic medicine, and analysis of skewed data. In this talk, I discuss some new developments in these three areas.
Particularly, I discuss some new developments in the statistical methodology for making causal inference in clinical trials with concurrent events and machine learning. In addition, I give an overview on some new developments in statistical methods in the evaluation of the accuracy of medical devices. Finally, I briefly review some statistical methods for the analysis of skewed data.
专家简介：周晓华，中组部国家海外高层次人才引进计划（创新长期项目）特聘专家，北京大学讲席教授，博士生导师，北京大学生物统计系主任。在国际顶尖的统计和生物统计期刊J. R. Statist. Soc. B, Journal of the American Statistical Association、Annals of Statistics, Biometrika, Biometrics等发表SCI学术论文280余篇。曾荣获国家自然科学基金委海外杰青，教育部高层次文教专家、教育部海外名师等荣誉称号，主持过国家自然科学基金重点项目，科技部重点研发计划项目。
