ABSTRACT
The goal of this talk is a brief introduction of the abc conjecture and some related theorems and conjectures. We will mention its relation to Fermat’s last theorem, the effective Mordell conjecture, and the arithmetic Bogomolov-Miyaoka-Yau inequality.
