Height pairings on varieties over number fields

报告摘要：
We start the talk from the notion of heights of algebraic numbers, and then review the Weil height machine, height of elliptic curves, together with the famous Gross-Zagier formula. Moving to general varieties or motives, we introduce the Beilinson-Bloch height. Finally, we explain our main results on the computation of central L-derivatives of automorphic forms of general ranks in terms of such height of special cycles.
专家简介：
刘一峰，浙江大学数学高等研究院教授，主要从事代数数论、自守形式、代数几何领域的研究。2007年本科毕业于北京大学；2012年博士毕业于哥伦比亚大学，师从张寿武教授。随后在麻省理工学院从事博士后，西北大学任助理教授，耶鲁大学任副教授及教授；2021年回国加盟浙大。曾获2017年斯隆研究奖，2018年SASTRA拉马努金奖，以及2025年AIM Alexanderson奖。
